So, we have just recently purchased a duplex with Troy's sis and bro-i-law(Brian and Sharon). It is all going rather fast so that is why not much has been mentioned about it. We close on July 24th. We are all really excited about this new adventure. Our side is the left side (Right side if you are looking at it from the street. It is about 3400 sq/ft total. So roughly 1700 each. I will try to post more pics soon. The inside needs a little modernizing, but other than that it is in pretty good condition. Now we just need to sell our house (pray we can do that soon)!
Adoption update: Troy and I had our info meeting today. We are both really excited about all of this now. We learned a lot more about the adoption "process" and it still hasn't scared us away! So we are looking at starting all of this first to middle of 2009. Please be praying for our decision and that God will lead us to the country and child that needs our family. Now we just have to get Collette to understand that we are not going to trade in Dakota and we will be set. (She thinks that if we get a new baby then baby Kota has to leave. It is so hard for a 3 year old to understand!) I love how her mind works and that she loves Dakota that much.

"No, Dakota can stay. So can the new baby. [pregnant pause.]"
Wow, how fun about the duplex. Where's it at? So excited for you about adoption. Adoption has been on my heart for years and I already am praying that it is in our future, too... praise God that one more child will have a wonderful home with you guys!
That's awesome!!! I read you post to our blog and thought it was really neat but didn't realize it was you guys who were posting! So when I realized it was you guys it made it that much better!!! Thats SO neat. Are you guys going to go through Gladney? We are headed to OKC tomorrow. Give us your number and mabye we can get together. chelseandavid@hotmail.com
The new house is awsome! But I am even more excited that you guys are adopting!! As I am sure you know, it has been the biggest blessing of our lives and God was SO faithful through the whole process. We will be praying for you guys and that everything goes quickly and smoothly and that you will have continued clarity about which country ect. YAY!! I am so excited for you! Which agency are you using? Gladney was AMAZING....just a little plug, but seriously, they were great.
Anyway, be in touch and feel free to email me if you have any questions about it all. (I rememeber having SO many along the way)
I am so excited for you guys, both about the house and the adoption!!! I will say that even though we had an increadably hard and painful adoption process with Shiloh (which I am sure it will be MUCH easier for you guys), now that she is home it was completely worth it and we would do it all over again! It is such a wonderful experience, she is such a joy in our lives and I would highly recomend it! I will be praying for you guys that your house sells quickly and for your decisions in the adoption process!
You don't want me to comment??
What great news and clips of the kids. I have a huge smile as I read, watch, and listen. A child would be blessed to be a part of your family and you would be blessed by another of God's children. I'm glad you and Sharon and Brian found your duplex. It looks great and so "spacious" as they say on HGTV. Hope I can come see you all soon.
We love you all & pray for you constantly. Now we are praying about your duplex venture and your goal of adopting a baby! You know we LOVE all of our grandchildren and would love a new adopted grandchild too!
Love seeing pictures of CoCo & Koda, but it so makes me want to hop on a plane to see them in person...
How did the garage sale go and how are things w/the house coming?
